Coliseum Central’s Whimsical Winter Wonderland presented by Sentara
On November 19 from 12pm-5pm, Coliseum Central is turning the Hampton Coliseum into a Whimsical Winter Wonderland. This FREE, festive celebration will include fun for the whole family. The Sentara Main Stage will feature shows by aerialists, jugglers, and illusionists. Four holiday-themed areas with coordinating backdrops, props and displays will provide ample opportunities for photos. In addition, there will be roaming characters and stilt walkers, a variety of photo booths, face painting, balloon and glitter tattoo artists, and carnival-style games.

Help us ring in the holiday season and launch the annual Holiday Donation Drive during the Wake Forest Cares Holiday Kick-Off on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 1-5 p.m. in downtown Wake Forest! 

Free and open to the public, this Holiday Kick-off will offer a slew of activities the entire family can enjoy, including award-winning ice carvers, roaming street performers, community performances,  children’s craft activities, and more!  

You will also have the chance to learn more about several Wake Forest Cares initiatives and how they are making a positive difference in our community.

While enjoying the kick-off, you are invited to Experience Downtown Wake Forest and all that it has to offer. We hope you will shop small and support local this holiday season.

ALX Family Day – In honor of National Family Day
National Family Day, celebrated on September 26, puts the spotlight on the people that make our lives meaningful. Bring the family out to the Robinson Landing waterfront for a variety of fun activities for all ages such as face painters, crafts, games, entertainment, and local artisans. Uptown Main Street in Stuart soon will be transformed into a vibrant, spooky, and most importantly, a safe community celebration suitable for all ages on Monday, October 31, as the Patrick County Young Professionals present the 7th annual Stuart Spooktacular. Superheroes, witches, and ghosts are invited to join the fun with trick or treating, The festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m., judging for the Table Decoration contest begin as well. This event could not be possible without the support from our community through businesses, individuals, civic groups, and others who volunteer to participate and hand out treats. Clark Gas & Oil, Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, Town of Stuart, and Patrick County Tourism are also vital partners who work to bring this event to life. Interested businesses, organizations, churches, or individuals who would like to set up a table/booth to hand out treats are invited to pre-register. Application Forms will be online and at the Patrick County Chamber Office at later date.

Come join us for our Fall Festival on Thursday, October 27 from 4–8pm! Enjoy FREE center-wide trick-or-treating, hay rides, costume contests, entertainment from Imagine Circus, and an outdoor showing of Despicable Me starting at 6:30pm! We will also have three food trucks, The Dogfather, Mamas Churros, and Chick-N-Que, joining us this year!

Costume Contest: This year, the contest will take place online through our submission form. Categories and prizes include:

Best Kids Costume – $50 to Crumbl Cookies

Best Family Costume – $100 to restaurant of your choosing
