Come out for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Get in the Irish spirit in the Village of Pinehurst. The parade is sure to be a family-fun event. Enjoy the parade of cars, floats, golf carts and more on Saturday, March 11, beginning at 10am. This is a pet-friendly event! It is free to participate in the parade. If interested, applications can be picked up at the Cannon Park Community Center. All parade entries must be submitted by Friday, February 24.

Join us for the annual Paper Lantern Parade & ChristmasFest on Friday, December 2 in Cheraw. The evening event for families takes place in downtown Cheraw around Centennial Park.
You’re invited to experience the wonder and magic of the holiday season at the 2022 Lighting of Wake Forest on Friday, Dec. 2.
The festivities take place in Centennial Plaza, 301 S. Brooks St., the gateway to Wake Forest Town Hall. Presented by Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. and sponsored by Holding Village, this year’s ceremony will feature the lighting of the Christmas tree and Santa’s exciting arrival in a Wake Forest fire truck.
There will be Pictures with Santa (reservations required), a children’s craft activity provided by Wake Forest Woman’s Club, as well as musical performances by local groups. Crumbl Cookies-Wake Forest will provide free cookies for the crowd, while supplies last.
This year’s event will expand beyond Centennial Plaza to include East Owen Avenue where there will be roving LED performers, food trucks and more.
PLEASE NOTE: The lighting of the Town Christmas tree typically takes place at approximately 6:15 pm.
Join us as we kick off the Christmas Season by lighting the tree at Knightdale Station Park. Write letters to Santa, watch local entertainment, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, then help countdown the lighting of our Christmas Tree with a special visit from Santa!
The festival of lights has been a holiday tradition for more than 35 years. Each year, the festival includes holiday favorites like the community sing-along, lighting of the community tree in Center City Park, and carolers and acoustic performances along Elm Street. Enjoy a laser show at the corner of MLK and S. Elm Street, find Santa in Hamburger Square, and roast marshmallows along the way!
