APPtoberfest and Homecoming Street Party

Head over to Howard Street in Downtown Boone to relax in our Alumni Beer Garden at APPtoberfest and Homecoming Street Party as you enjoy catching up with old friends and making new ones. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and concludes at 9:30 p.m.

Pepper Fest: Chapel Hill, NC

Pepperfest celebrates it’s eleventh year! This is a celebration of the harvest, cooler weather, and a chance to savor the deliciousness of Carolina peppers! Grown by leaps and bounds since it’s 2007 beginnings, it’s a serious celebration of local food abundance in North Carolina’s Piedmont.

Hang out with your friends, listen to fantastic live music, while sampling delicious pepper-themed beverages and dishes made by dozens of star chefs, brewers, distillers and artisans. Support your local foodshed, sustainable harvest and organic farmers. Bring the kids for fabulous activities, entertainment, bubbles and facepainting!

Come hungry and ready to discover the many amazing nearby restaurants incorporating locally farmed ingredients into their menus as well as local businesses, non-profits and our beautiful community.

37th Annual Hiddenite Celebration of the Arts: Hiddenite, NC

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Celebration of the Arts festival has featured diversely talented artists, crafters, and performers since 1981. This one of a kind arts and cultural heritage festival is held annually on the fourth Saturday in September on Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Celebration of the Arts is a free admission street festival that features family friendly activities for all ages and hands on opportunities to experience the arts.

Celebration features shopping for fine arts and handmade products, living history demonstrations by skilled craftspeople, four live performance stages with music, dance, and storytelling, an interactive Art in Action area, and so much more!

The Center’s Historic James Paul Lucas Mansion museum, art gallery, permanent collections, and the Alexander County Visitor Center (housed within the Lucas Mansion) will be open for visitors throughout the day. Self-guided museum tours will be available at a reduced cost of only $1 per person on Celebration of the Arts day. All other Lucas Mansion exhibits are free and open to the public.

The festival will include fun activities for children of all ages. Both the young and the young at heart will enjoy giant slides, bounce house activities, and face painting. Numerous food vendors will be on hand to provide a diverse selection of festival food favorites. Spend the day with us and experience unique ways to celebrate the arts!

Jesse Smith and Kenny Brown continue the legacy of one of the oldest tattoo conventions in the world– the 25th Annual Richmond Tattoo & Arts Festival!

Hosting a spectacular lineup of tattoo artists including local artists and internationally recognized artists. Featuring many of the Ink Master contestants! Plenty of tattoo industry vendors. We are also proud to have in attendance many local RVA vendors.

Entertainment includes a Street Art Festival with live painting, the 2nd Annual Miss Pin-up RVA competition and much, much more!

Last year’s event was a huge success! We thank everyone who came out to support the Richmond tattoo and arts scene. This year’s show will have even more amazing artists and entertainment! Can wait to see you all there!

What better place to put your top down and take in the salt air than beautiful Topsail Island! Bring your family and enjoy family fun, jeep adventure and island living at its best. This meet up is a chance for Jeep lovers to get together and have an amazing time at events like our beach ride and obstacle course. Spectators are welcome at each event. Spanning six towns and two counties, this truly is an island takeover.

Imagine Circus will be in the parking lot of Gallagher’s Sports Bar, inviting Jeep lovers to park and come in to enjoy cold brews and good eats! Hope to see you there!
