A celebration of all things good and cheerful, southern and delightful! The Cheerwine Festival brings in tens of thousands of locals and visitors from across the Carolinas converging on this small, historic city to eat good food, shop cheerwine merchandise and have fun in the downtown area.
Cheerwine is a one-of-a-kind soft drink with a unique cherry taste that has been delighting southerners for more than a century. Cheerwine was first created in 1917 in Salisbury, NC by a general store owner named LD Peeler.

Hippie Fest is a grassroots festival where free-spirited people from across the country gather to celebrate peace, love, and all things groovy! Returning to Rowan County Fairground in Salisbury, NC May 11 & 12, 2019. Featuring live music, bohemian shopping, vintage hippie car show, DIY tie-dye, giant bubble garden, cirque performers, kids activities, delicious food, tipsy-hippie tiki bar, and more. ApexPeak Fest: Apex, NC
Salem Street in historic downtown Apex will come alive during PeakFest! For more than thirty years, PeakFest has brought families together for a day of fun, food and fellowship. The event, which is referred to as an arts and crafts festival, has deep roots within the Apex community. What started as a small community day in a school parking lot has grown into an event that draws hundreds of vendors and over 22,000 people to the streets of downtown Apex. Every year, the Apex Festival Commission plans a bigger and more exciting day.
PeakFest is the largest public event in Apex and, it is about more than fun. Live music all day, artist of every kind (jewelry, pottery, watercolor and acrylic), entertainment for the kids, food that you would find at the fair, and so much more!
