Adorned with patriotic red, white, and blue, Imagine Circus performers roved under sunshine filled skies at the North Ridge Country Club’s charming, carnivalesque July 4th celebration. Our magician impressed guest with close-up, interactive magic, while our bubble artist created temporary iridescent sculptures, quickly popped by eager children! Our juggler entertained crowds with balls and clubs flying through the air, while our acrobatic duo captivated the attention of adults and children with their elegant movements. Our stilt walker posed for photos, passing out high fives in his best stars and stripes. SweetWater Ices dished out delicious treats and the event concluded with an impressive firework show; a quintessential Fourth of July with style!
From mid-April to the beginning of July, Pabst Blue Ribbon sponsored a Triangle tour of PBR-inspired live painting events featuring local artists from Imagine Circus. As patrons shopped, our performers created their live masterpieces across multiple locations including Whole Foods in Chapel Hill, Harris Teeter in Cary, Lowe’s Foods in Apex, and Total Wine and two Food Lions in Raleigh. An avid supporter of the arts, PBR seeks out collaborations with local artists to curate unique events within the community. We were delighted to have our performers as showcased artists and look forward to future opportunities to make PBR Art!
On a sun-filled summer day on June 24th, 2017, Imagine Circus spent the afternoon entertaining the Town of Cary, NC celebrating the completion of the Academy Street renovation and Downtown Park. Imagine Circus provided giant bubbles, larger than life stilt walkers, and graceful acrobats for the festivities. A local affair, patrons enjoyed refreshments from Bond Brothers Beer Company, tasty treats from La Farm Bakery, and junior performances by the Cary Ballet Company. See some of the photos below!
On June 17, 2017 Imagine Circus stilt walking fairies fluttered around the 13th Annual Greensboro Summer Solstice, parading with characters from Paperhand Puppet Intervention and costumed festival patrons. Later in the evening, Imagine Circus presented a fire show sponsored by Corrupted Arts and MC’d by Madelyn Greco of LivingBrush. The fire show included artful prop manipulation, mesmerizing fire dancing, and fire acrobatics! The mission of Greensboro Summer Solstice is to create “an experience for festival-goers that blends local artisans, performers and budding entrepreneurs with a little bit of magic, opening up imaginations to the possibilities in each of us.” We were grateful to be a part!
We loved spending our Sunday afternoon at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC for the Family Renaissance Festival on June 4th, 2017. In the beautiful sunshine Imagine Circus featured stilt walking and juggling across the serene surroundings of the museum park. We enjoyed performing alongside friends from One Tribe as they shared the rhythm of the drums and the power of music. The event offered various activities and attractions including mask making, live action renaissance combat demos, classic renaissance games, short plays, and tasty food trucks. This event happens every year and is great for the whole family!

Teaming up with OBX Entertainment and Bearded Face Productions, the Outer Banks Visitor’s Bureau kicked off the Soundside Live Concert Series on May 25, 2017. The first of three Thursday evening concerts, this event featured national recording artists Red Wanting Blue, The Commonheart, and Tropidelic, as well as performances by Imagine Circus! Although the evening had moments of epic wind, stormy clouds, and a brief downpour, a double rainbow emerged and the show went on!
